Eines der traditionsreichsten Kanupolo Turniere zu Beginn der Saison im Freibad Brauweg in Göttingen
One of the longest-standing canoe polo tournaments kicking off the season at Göttingen’s Freibad Brauweg.
Beim Turnier wird in zwei Spielklassen gespielt – Herren und Damen. Insgesamt treten 16 Herren-Teams und 12 Damen-Teams an. Neben zahlreichen Bundesligateams aus Deutschland sind auch wieder Mannschaften aus Nachbarländern vertreten, was für eine starke internationale Beteiligung sorgt. In diesem Jahr findet bereits die 37. Auflage des traditionsreichen Turniers statt.
Kanupolo ist eine schnelle Teamsportart, bei der fünf Spieler*innen im Kajak versuchen, den Ball in ein hochhängendes Tor zu werfen. Dynamik, Präzision, Taktik und Kontaktspiel machen den Reiz dieser besonderen Wassersportart aus.
The tournament features two divisions: men and women. A total of 16 men’s teams and 12 women’s teams will compete. Alongside numerous German Bundesliga teams, the event again attracts clubs from neighboring countries, ensuring a strong international field. This year marks the 37th edition of the long-standing tournament.
Canoe polo is a fast and tactical team sport played in kayaks. Five players per team compete to score by throwing the ball into a raised goal. Speed, precision, strategy and controlled physical contact are key elements that make the sport so dynamic and exciting.
